I normally don't walk around in public with my bass guitars.. 'cause I don't there'd be enough room to carry BOTH my bass AND a firearm >.> The Rivieque, my Gibson, the Guild and my Markel Acoustics would be stolen in a heartbeat (Okay, maybe not the Gibson, to be completely honest. It's beat to HELL, but that's only because it's so sweet to play).
Oh. I would recommened you sell it for a bass. World needs more bass players. We're a dieing breed.

As long as he respects it...why not. I am sure he understands that it is not a toy...but a bit of history. He needs to give it a name. All guitars need a name.
My daughter had her first guitar lesson at Marshall Music last Saturday. She is geeked over it. One day when she is proficient with it....then maybe I will surprise her with a classic guitar. Right now she is learning on her Fender Squire...a little "copy" of the Strat0caster. Good enough for now.
Everyday I ask her: "Can you play like Stevie Ray Vaughan yet....?" hehe

Thats why I just picked up the bass. From what I hear, most bass players in bands usually play guitar and are just playing bass to be in the band.
Oh, and man you are lucky for such a sweet guitar to start with. Hope you get to enjoy it fiery.

No one wants to play bass in a band cause their the lowest of the low for some reason. Look at John Lennon he can't play the guitar worth $hit but he wouldn't play bass cause he didn't want to be the bass player. It's a shame since they're nice instruments.

I play bass, and i agree with this statement. I'd say you would find 5-6 guitarist for every bassist. By the way echo, whos your favorite bassist?
